St. A's is an old fashioned Philadelphia "Muscle" Church - where the faith is strongly portrayed. Perhaps as much as any Church in Philadelphia, St. A's has its share of statues that evoke powerful images of the faith. With all due respect, these types of statues are just not present in many of the suburban churches today.
Altar Left and Right views from center aisle.
One of my favorites...Sister praying view from center aisle (at right) and from side aisle front to back (below)
Mid-Church view, from center aisle, looking to the Limekiln Pike side of the church. .
The raised Lectern (Left) always seemed so much higher (and so much more intimidating) when I was a young boy.
Side altars (above and below) seem to be fairly unique to St. Athanasius and part of its identity.
What would St. A's be without the candles.

The Lady, after all It's all about the Lady! The one and true Queen of May. Statue of the Blessed Mother - Front of School looking from Limekiln Pike.
A haunting, rendition of Pie Jesu by Sissel. Must say - truly the best version I've ever heard of this beautiful song.
