It takes special people to build a parish and since 1928 St. Athanasius has had excellent leadership. In that time seven men have stepped forward to build the incredible legacy that is St. Athanasius parish. The History of Pastoral leadership of the Parish is as follows:


   Reverend Thomas L. Clooney, Founding Pastor (1928-1958)
   Monsignor Hugh F. McMullan, Pastor (1958-1974)
   Reverend John J. Caulfield, Pastor (1974-1979)
   Reverend (now Monsignor) Michael J. Burke, Pastor (1979-1988)
   Reverend (now Monsignor) Kenneth P. McAteer (1988- 1994)
   Monsignor Herbert A. Bevard, Pastor (1994-2008)
   Reverend Joseph F. Okonski, Pastor (2008-Present)
